And how is the fertility rate going to grow in this country?” – asks rhetorically one of the Internet users. In another comment we read: “Once a luxury was colorful, then holidays abroad – now a child. It is worth considering whether we can afford them. After the projected increase in fees – as you can guess – a nursery will become a luxury for some.
Expensive, more expensive, (yet) the most expensive
– When inflation is above 5%, then the indexation of the minimum wage occurs twice a year. The government proposed that from January 1, 2024, the minimum wage would be PLN 4,242, while from the first of July 4,300 PLN – money portal. At first, the increase in monthly salary can be enjoyable. Until we realize that an increase in salary also leads to an increase in tax and social security contributions paid for each employee. Ultimately, we can expect fees to skyrocket – m. for nurseries.
The realm of paradoxes. “You have more but you have less”
– In nurseries run by local governments, the fee for the nursery is usually a percentage of the lowest remuneration for work, which means that if the minimum wage increases, the nursery fees will also increase – on portalsamorzadowy.pl. The first increases are already visible – from 2024, however, it will be much worse. According to the calculations of the portal, from January tuition fees in Wrocław will jump by over PLN 115 every monthand from July 2024 by another PLN 11.
In Bydgoszcz, prices will also skyrocket. Parents will pay about PLN 95 more for the nursery next year than they do now. The price record holder is Łódź – in this city, the fee will increase by as much as PLN 140 per month. This gives PLN 1,680 per year. It seems that Internet users are not too happy with this turn of events – taking into account the comments posted on the web:
