Internationally, Australian actor Marcus Graham’s name may be somewhat unknown despite his forays into television, film and theatre, and one of the highlights of his life was his two-year romance with actress Nicole Kidman before she dated Tom Cruise.

As reported by All Famous, the 59-year-old who played Harvey Ryan in “Home and Away” was the Australian’s partner between 1987 and 1989, when her paths had not yet crossed with Hollywood.

Although it all ended after Kidman starred with Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder and made the decision to end Graham to pursue her dream of becoming an actress in the hands of the Mission Impossible star.

A year later, both actors married and adopted two children before divorcing in 2001.

Marcus Graham has been a gentleman about his ex-girlfriend for years, admitting that it wouldn’t be fair for her to stay in Australia and miss out on such a big opportunity, as noted by Yahoo!

This was said in an interview with the Australian magazine Woman’s Day: “A brilliant, beautiful and talented actress meets a big Hollywood star and he says to her: ‘Come with me.’ I think anyone would say, ‘Are you crazy? Go with him.’”
