For the first time, the Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra of Guayaquil will perform a concert at the Church of Cristo del Consuelo, located on Lizardo García and A streets. The recital will take place on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 3:30 p.m.
The concert will be attended by maestro Manuel Campos, conductor, pedagogue and trainer of children’s and youth orchestras. The musician studied at the State Foundation of the System of Children and Youth Orchestras of Venezuela, the Simón Bolívar Conservatory, the University of the Arts of Venezuela, the Paris Regional Music Conservatory and the Latin American Violin Academy.
The initiative is part of the “Ruta de las Iglesias” program that will be performed by the Guayaquil Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra in emblematic places of the city, as part of the mayor’s office’s commitment to the development of a new audience.
The Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra of Guayaquil is made up of 53 musicians, both national and foreign, who belong to the Municipal Philharmonic and Artistic Education Unit (UFEAM).
