The Union of Polish Stage Artists informed about the death of the well-known actress. “Moved by the sudden departure, we bid farewell to Miriam Aleksandrowicz, an actress, theater and dubbing director, with over a hundred Polish language versions of animated series and films in her acting and directing achievements,” the statement reads.
Miriam Aleksandrowicz is dead. The well-known Polish dubbing actress was 65 years old
The artist was honored with the Award for Special Achievements in the Field of Dubbing. “She had so many ideas, plans…” – we read the words of ZASP representatives. The actress died at the age of 65 after more than half a century of work in front of the microphone.
Jan Aleksandrowicz-Krasko also said goodbye to my mother. “How trivial it sounds. Today my mother passed away. Not only mine. Not only ours. Mother of many lost souls,” writes the actor.
Miriam Aleksandrowicz was called the “mother of Polish dubbing”. She chose her profession thanks to her mother, who cast her daughter in the roles of children in recording studios. Zofia Dybowska-Aleksandrowicz declared that working with her own child is much better. In this way, she sowed passion in young Miriam, who tied her future with playing in front of the microphone. At the age of 32, the actress lost her mother and grandmother in unexplained circumstances. To this day, we do not know who is behind the brutal murder of her loved ones.
Over the years of her career, Aleksandrowicz has lent her voice to countless characters from films and TV series broadcast in Poland. She made her debut in DuckTales and Chip and Dale: The RR Brigade. We could hear her voice in “The Addams Family”, “The Hobbit” or “The Lion King”.
