According to the data provided by, Antoni, Jan and Aleksander were among the most popular names for boys in 2022, and Zofia, Zuzanna and Hanna for girls.

Right after Aleksander on the list is Nicodemus with a score of 6155 and Franciszek, who has been awarded 5696 times. Only after Franciszek we have Jakub, who has been at the forefront of the most popular names for the last few years. Aurelian, Walery, Rajmund and Dastin were at the bottom of the list with only 2 scores. Poles also decided to use diminutives of popular names, such as Przemek and Maciek, which were also given twice. Names such as Zbyszko, Rudolf, Alojzy and Apoloniusz were chosen only 3-4 times.

Names for girls. Julia’s clear decline

In the list of the most popular for a girl, after Hanna, there is Laura with a score of 5095, followed by Maja, who was chosen 4979. After Maja, we have Julia, who held the first place for several years. Names such as Bogusława, Arletta, Odetta or Dąbrówka were given only twice last year.
