When Majka Jeżowska’s firstborn son was born, she was delighted. She was not allowed to enjoy motherhood for long. Shortly after giving birth, she left the newborn in the care of her parents, and went overseas in search of a better life. In 2010, the star of children’s hits gave an interview in “Vivy!”, in which she denied the rumors for the first time and opened up to her painful past. She told about her relationship with her first husband and confessed that she was a victim of domestic violence. Majka Jeżowska’s partner at that time was Janusz Koman. — He was a famous composer, 12 years older than me. Brutal, but I didn’t want to admit it. I was 20 years old and in love – a singer. It was the difficult family situation that forced her to go abroad years ago.
Shortly before leaving for the US, she ended up in the hospital. Her husband beat her severely
The singer recalled that when she was 20 years old, she was offered a two-month stay in the United States, where she was to play several concerts for the Polish community there. She agreed, because her son was already one year old. Just before leaving, another unpleasant incident took place, which ultimately decided the fate of her marriage. she was severely beaten by her husband, and the injuries were so severe that she had to be hospitalized. “I ended up in the hospital one night with a vocal cord bleed from a blow to the larynx. I could only make a few faint sounds. It was a drama because it could have ended with her losing her voice,” she recalled the difficult moments.
Although her condition was severe and required a long convalescence, she was afraid that if she gave up the trip, such a proposal would never be repeated. Not wanting to lose the chance of a lifetime, she put everything on one card.
Despite fears, the singer flew to the USA. The decision turned out to be a godsend
After arriving in New York, Hanna Bakuła showed her a friendly hand, who not only spent time with her, but also helped her find herself in the big world. Jeżowska confessed that she still suffered from loneliness and longing for her loved ones, but she knew that she was doing it for the sake of the child. “I was only thinking about building my new life with my son, not feeling sorry for myself. The stay, planned for two months, was extended significantly, and the artist spent two years in the USA. She worked hard to give her son a better future. In the meantime, fate smiled on her and she found love again. The chosen one of her heart turned out to be guitarist Tom Logan. The couple got married in 1984. “I worked hard and two years passed. In the end, I also fell in love with a musician, married Tom and brought my son – she recalled in “Vivie!”. Although the relationship did not survive the test of time, the spouses remain in friendly relations to this day.
