Korean productions are gaining more and more power and popularity. This is why streaming platforms are committed to including k-dramas in their catalogs. In July, several new Korean series will arrive in the world of streaming.
Here are some recommendations for k-dramas debuting in July.
1. Shadow Detective (Season Two)

Kyung Soo-jin and Lee Hak-joo are back as their fellow detectives, while Kim Shin-rok and Jung Jin-young join the cast. The new season will be available on Disney+ on July 5.
2. Others don’t
Choi Soo-young teams up with Jeon Hye-jin (Ashfall) to play a quarreling mother-daughter pair.
Jeon plays the role of Eun-mi, a single mother who gave birth as a teenager and has since raised her daughter alone. That daughter is now 29-year-old police officer Jin-hee (Choi) and still lives under Eun-mi’s roof.
Both argue day in and day out, until new men come into their lives. For Eun-mi, it’s Doctor Jin-hong (Ahn Jae-wook, Mouse), while Jin-hee meets her new colleague Jae-won (Park Sung-hoon, The Glory), with whom she doesn’t get along. . (Available from ENNA, July 17)
3. Longing for you
After In-woo, detective Oh Jin-seong stars in the new murder mystery Longing for You.
Jin-seong is a detective at Woojin rural police station and seeks revenge on behalf of his younger brother. He is transferred to a special investigation team when a serial killer begins to terrorize the region, and soon finds himself face-to-face with a powerful group of people.
4. DP (Season Two)
The acclaimed drama about military deserters.
The show revolves around members of the Army’s Deserter Pursuit (DP) squad, who track down young soldiers who go AWOL during their military service, which is mandatory for all men in South Korea.
The first season of the series struck a chord with viewers, where incidents of violence and harassment in the military have traumatized many young people. (Netflix, July 28)
