Pool roofing is a sensible decision. This means less pollutants will enter the pool, less chemical evaporation and more heat retention in the water. The result is a cleaner and warmer pool, and you won’t need to use as many products for swimming. It is worth remembering to always protect the pool from access by children and pets. Covering the pool with foil does not protect against falling in, and may, in turn, make it difficult to get out.

Bubble wrap for the pool. What is it for and what are its advantages?
Solar pool covers, often called pool blankets, are large sheets of heavy-duty bubble wrap made of lightweight, clear plastic such as polyethylene or polypropylene. The air bubbles absorb the sun’s heat and then transfer it to the water, thus heating the water in the pool. Covering the pool with bubble wrap can also bring several other benefits that will not only reduce operating costs, but also maintain good water quality.
- retains heat in the pool,
- ensures less pollution in the pool,
- cheaper than summer foam cover,
- easy to fold, light.
How to lay bubble wrap for the pool? It all depends on the type of surface
There are many variants of foil dedicated to the pool available on the market. A cheaper and emergency alternative may be bubble wrap. For this purpose, it is better to choose more durable, heavier fabrics (B3 – 75g/m2, B4 – 90g/m2). Depending on the type of pool, the method of laying the foil on the surface also depends. In the case of a swimming pool dug into the ground, the surface will need to be covered with foil (just stretch it over the basin), and in the case of a portable pool, it is worth wrapping it around the side walls, thus limiting heat loss. The whole thing can also be tied additionally with a string.
