The EHZ will say goodbye to Irisarri in a big way
Euskaraz irakurri: EHZk Irisarri hartuko du azkenengoz, dagokion gisako agurrarekin
Punk, rap, rock, metal, traditional music, a string trio, percussion, pop, cumbia, soul, popa electro, hardcore… Few musical tastes will escape what the twenty-seventh edition of the EHZ festival has to offer, to be held on June 30, July 1 and July 2 in Irisarri.
It will also be a special edition, since it will be the last to be held in Irisarri, a town where the EHZ arrived in the 2019 edition after having toured Arrosa, Idauze-Mendi, Heleta and Lekorne since 1996.
Some of the more than 500 volunteers at the festival have already prepared everything for the music, talks and other activities to start on Friday, and the rest of the volunteers will help so that everything can go well.
Music for everyone
Those in charge of opening the musical program of this edition will be the three members of the Habia group, who will perform from 6:00 p.m. in the Irisarri square, before Muare. Then, on the two main stages, Liher, J Martina, Mandarine, Kuma No Motor, Willis Drummond, François del Mundo, Belako, Akts and MadMadMad will perform on this first day.
The second day will be full of activities in the town: bertso poteo, theater, concerts for example by Mice… And from 4:30 p.m. the Baigura and Basaburu stages will host Dia! DJs, Ixabe, Mars Red Sky, Arima, Billie Brelok, Nize, Gatibu, Aho Zakil Konekxion, Zetak, Ztah, Krav Boca, Dia! DJs and Vapa.
Finally, the last day will not serve to rest much, and you can dance or shake your head to the rhythm of Txaranga Jaiak, Afrika Bibang, Daudane, Sofa, Kolinga, Pisoo Oph, Kristonak, Estelle D., Soulfly and FM Belfast.
In addition to music, as usual, throughout the weekend there will be workshops, talks and screenings on squatting, feminist self-defense, popular movement strategy, the ecological crisis, the situation of the Basque language…
