How is the calculation of the pension amount? You will need some information
If you are wondering how much benefit you can count on in the future, you can calculate it when you have the right information. The pension is calculated on the basis of the amount of accumulated capital and the projected average life expectancy. The following should be taken into account:
- valorized initial capital (until 1998);
- indexed insurance premiums (from 1999 to the month in which you want to retire);
- indexed funds held on the sub-account in the case of persons belonging to open pension funds.
All amounts collected on individual pension accounts can be found by logging in to the ZUS website, using a trusted profile. We will also need information about the average amount of the pension contribution that we will continue to pay and the average duration of life in retirement, which we will find out using the information on .
The projected pension amount is an estimate. Why can it be different in practice?
To calculate the height, we can use the calculator located on the website in the simplified or advanced version. Then you need to enter the following data into it to get the result in the form of an estimate of the amount of the pension granted after reaching the appropriate age:
- sex;
- date of birth;
- the amount of indexed contributions;
- the amount of indexed initial capital;
- the indexed total amount on the sub-account;
- the amount of contributions paid in total in the last 12 calendar months;
- declared retirement age;
- year of commencement of work;
- current monthly gross salary;
- information on OFE membership.
It is worth remembering, however, that the obtained results are not final. Although the calculator is constantly being updated, the projected amount of your pension may change depending on inflation, the minimum wage or changes in life expectancy in retirement. Therefore, the obtained results cannot be treated as binding, but only as preliminary forecasts.
