Tips have been causing various dilemmas for years. Do you give at all? if so, how much? Is it best to transfer money in cash or pay by card? Will the entire amount go to the waiter or waitress who served me or will it be divided among all employees? This topic certainly arouses great emotions and sparks discussions. It is therefore not surprising that the media from time to time reminds of an unusual story that took place in the state of New Hampshire in the United States. A man left the waiters at Stumble Inn Bar & Grill in Londonderry a huge tip. When the employee of the premises saw the amount on the bill, she initially found it difficult to believe what she saw. In the end, however, it turned out that this was neither a mistake nor a joke.
The man left the bar staff a huge tip
As the waiters revealed, the man appeared at the bar alone and ordered several dishes: two hot dogs, chips and drinks. After he had eaten, he asked for the bill. He paid $37.93 for the whole thing. However, the customer did not forget about the tip. According to the accounts of the bar employees, the man added as much as 16,000 dollars to the amount on the bill, which translates to over 60,000 zlotys!
Waitress: She never thought something like this would happen to me
At first, the waitress serving the man was convinced it was a mistake. However, the client assured her that everything was correct. “She never thought something like this would happen to me,” said a waitress working at Stumble Inn Bar & Grill in Londonderry in an interview. It is worth mentioning that the tip was finally divided into eight parts. The employees of the bar and kitchen received the money. Interestingly, the man informed the waitress that he was aware of how hard work the people employed in the premises were doing. What he did restores my faith in humanity. The client said he knew how hard we work and he just wanted to do something nice for us.
