New Netflix series on the big screen. The only opportunity to see Polish premieres in this way

A unique opportunity – on July 24, during the mBank New Horizons film festival, you will be able to watch the first episodes of three Polish Netflix series in advance.

Which three new productions will you be able to get to know? The first one is “Feedback” by Leszek Dawid, based on the book by Jakub Żulczyk, who has, among others, well-received scripts for the first season of “Belfra” and the first Polish original production of SkyShowtime – “Warszawianka” with Borys Szyc, which debuted in June. The protagonist of “Feedback” is a former rock musician (played by Arkadiusz Jakubik), who embarks on a crazy journey into the darkest corners of Warsaw and the human psyche to find his missing son.

What other new Netflix series in Wrocław?

Festival viewers will also be able to watch the first episode of “Infamia” by Anna Maliszewska and Kuba Czekaj. It is a story about a teenage Roma, Gita (Zofia Jastrzębska), who, after years of living in Wales, moves to her native Poland, where she tries to find herself, balancing between the modern world of teenagers and traditional Roma rules. The third production is the series “Absolute debutants”. The production is about the search for freedom by two 19-year-olds who want to make a daring film about love and get into a film school. Martyna Byczkowska stars in the lead role, and Kamila Tarabura and Katarzyna Warzecha are responsible for directing.

All three episodes will be shown on July 24 at 6:30 pm at the New Horizons Cinema. After the screening of each of them, meetings with the creators are planned. Tickets cost PLN 27 and will go on sale on July 6. People with festival passes and accreditations will also be able to participate in the screening (after booking a place in the booking system).

– No one needs convincing that series are doing great and are entering the world of cinema more and more. I am glad that this year we can present to our audience not only Lars von Trier’s cult miniseries, but also the latest Polish Netflix series productions on the big screen – at a special, unique show with the creators, many weeks before the premiere – says the director festival Marcin Pieńkowski.

The 23rd mBank Nowe Hotyzonty International Film Festival is scheduled for July 23-30 in Wrocław. From July 20 to August 6, the online version will take place.
