In accordance with the almost three-decade-long tradition, on June 24, 2023, a grand celebration of summer took place in Warsaw’s Podzamcze district. This year’s event was full of various attractions, which culminated in a concert dedicated to life and creativity . The event was broadcast live by the station.
The concert dedicated to Kora caused a huge stir in the media. Fans of the artist did not hide their disappointment
During the concert “KORA. I came to the world for this” the greatest hits from the leader’s repertoire were performed by leading Polish performers. Among the stars who appeared on the stage were m.in. Krzysztof Zalewski, Organek, Karolina Lizer, Ania Karwan, Muniek Staszczyk, Natalia Przybysz, Maciej Musiałowski, Kwiat Jabłoni, Bovska, as well as , who was also the host. Despite the efforts, not everyone liked the new arrangements presented by the artists.
Already during the broadcast, negative comments began to appear on the network. Fans said the concert was “desecration”, but much more strong words were spoken. Vocalists were also hit, who, according to many, should not face her songs, because “they don’t even match her heels”.

A few days after the event, the widower of the artist, Kamil Sipowicz, spoke about the case. In an interview with, he thanked the organizers for the perfectly refined event, and then referred to the numerous negative opinions that appeared on the web. He admitted that Kora’s pieces are extremely demanding and, despite all efforts, no one will be able to perform them in such a way that they sound like the original. – Whoever takes Kora and the Maanam team with their creativity is aware that they may lose. So I am asking for your understanding,” he said.
He also added that he congratulated those who decided to face this challenge, singing, for example, “Paranoja jest naked” or “Krakowski spleen”. – Each of the performers tried to interpret Kora in their own way, and this is a very difficult task: Kora had a very integral and, well, it must be said simply, unmistakable musical personality – said Sipowicz. He emphasized, however, that the most faithful fans of the artist certainly appreciated the idea and commitment of the creators, as evidenced by the crowds of satisfied listeners gathered in front of the stage. — I am happy that her work is alive and brings joy to people. I saw thousands of happy, smiling faces, I saw people of all ages dancing to the music of Maanam, I saw several generations singing Kora’s lyrics, he concluded.
