Peonies are beautiful plants that we gladly grow in gardens. Colorful large flowers attract the eye, but they should be properly cared for to delight with their appearance. We suggest how to care for peony flowers so that they please the eyes throughout the summer.

Peonies come in many colors from white to red and yellow. They come from Japan and China, but they perfectly adapted to Polish conditions. How to grow peonies in ? Follow one rule and they will bloom lushly and profusely.

There are about 35 species of peonies, but the most popular in our garden is the Chinese peony, which is commonly called “a rose without thorns”. It is a perennial and reaches a height of up to 100 cm. It is characterized by lush green leaves and spherical buds from which bloom flowers resembling roses. It blooms in May or June, and its cultivation is not complicated. It grows best in sunny or semi-shady positions, sheltered from wind and drafts, on fertile and humus soil. It is frost resistant. Requires a fairly moist soil, so in hot weather it should be watered regularly. Keep in mind that it is sensitive to repotting, and the ideal time to relocate peonies is mid-August to mid-September.
