Peter Brötzmann performed on February 7 and 8, 2023 in Warsaw’s Pardon club, where he gave two concerts. Two days later, he managed to perform at London’s Cafe OTO, but later, as he reported on social media, he suffered a sudden collapse.
“Yes, I was supposed to collapse after returning from Warsaw and London. Ambulance, resuscitation, intensive care. I left the hospital 10 days ago and I’m still trying to organize my daily life. I have no idea what my future will look like. I won’t be able to play in the near future time – I can’t travel and be on stage,” the 82-year-old musician wrote in late March.
