At the 60th National Festival of Polish Song in Opole, the Troubadours celebrated the 60th anniversary of artistic activity. However, some members of the line-up were absent from the stage, including m.in. Piotr Kuźniak and Ryszard Poznakowski. decided to explain the situation to the fans, claiming that the former bandleader resigned from the performance because he was tired of a career that lasted several decades. It didn’t take long for the musician to react.
Poznakowski comments on Lichtman’s words. Strong words were spoken
shed a new light on this situation by giving an interview to the portal . In the conversation, he argued that he had not considered performing with Troubadours, because he had not been able to reach an agreement with Marian Lichtman for a long time. He spoke bluntly about his friend and said that for the sake of various situations, he now wants nothing to do with him. He also explained why he ended his collaboration with the group two decades ago. – Marian Lichtman is a man who is dangerous. I don’t want anything to do with him. I haven’t played with the Troubadours in 20 years since they started playing in Lepper’s election campaign. I don’t participate in politics because I’m a musician. From time to time I went on stage with them, but less and less. This is the end of the fun. The boys are having a good time. Their performance in Opole? I haven’t seen such embarrassment in a long time,” he said.
Poznakowski calms the fans down. The musician does not plan to end his career
The former leader also denied that he was tired of the stage and considered ending his career. He explained that he intends to perform in front of the audience as long as his health allows, because, as he argues, one is an artist until death. Contrary to his words, the singer regularly plays concerts, and his music is still popular among fans. – I did not give up the stage, because you are a musician until death. However, I do not perform in shady events and not at any cost. I’m an adult. I’m 77 years old and I perform on stage because I have my audience. It is true that my audience grows old with me, but it turns out that my audience’s children also discover something in what I have to say from the stage – summed up Ryszard Poznakowski.
