The Music Festival is an international celebration, open to all amateur and/or professional musicianswhich offers the opportunity to put this artistic discipline in the spotlight, universal language, in a spontaneous, festive way, appreciating both the inclusion and the diversity of musical practicesmo for all music genres. It is aimed at all audiences free of charge and helps them become familiar with all musical expressions.

Made in France in 1982, the Music Festival It is currently held simultaneously on the five continents around June 21, the day of the summer solstice, thanks to numerous events adapted to the particularities of each country. Activity promoted by the network of French alliances around the world, in 130 countries, and in Ecuador through the 5 current alliances Quito, Cuenca, Loja, Portoviejo and Guayaquil.
In Guayaquil, the French Alliance has been organizing the Music Festival since June 2000 This 2023 will be held in partnership with the School of the Arts and in Plaza Guayarte.
When and where does the Music Festival take place?
Thursday June 22: Terrace of building MZ14 of the Hogeschool der Kunsten.
Friday June 23: Guayarte Square.
Saturday June 24: Auditorium of the headquarters of the French Alliance (Hurtado 436 and José Mascote).
This year, the AFG received 74 artistic proposals and the curatorial process It is carried out by the Culture Coordination of the Alliance Française, rrepresented by Hannah Dannoux and Jimmy Sáenz de Viteri, working with the Garage Band portal, for the curatorship and dissemination of the event.
The FDLM will have the presence of musical trajectory projects such as Tábata, Armada de Juguete and Biera, along with emerging proposals that gain ground every day with quality music and great stage development.
Linking to different genres and musical projects is part of the spirit of the FDLM, which will offer diversity of independent music genres created by local artists. Rock, punkpop, ballads and much mores, the offer of this edition will be free in the various concert halls.
