The satirical program “Kontakt Glass”, which has been broadcast since 2005, has a large group of commentators, but recently many of them have decided to break off their cooperation. After Krzysztof Daukszewicz announced a few days ago that he would not return to the program, two other hosts also decided to say goodbye to “Glass”.
Artur Andrus will no longer be a commentator on “Contact Glass”
The satirist Robert Górski was the first to announce his decision. At the end of the Sunday edition, hosted by Tomasz Sianecki, the journalist said that Artur Andrus also said goodbye to the program: “There is a third person who made a similar decision, Artur Andrus.” Later, he emphasized that “Glass” does not disappear from the air and thanked former commentators:
Certainly for us “Contact Glass” is a certain value that we will defend. I hope for you too. As for our colleagues, Krzysztof Daukszewicz, Robert Górski and Artur Andrus, we can only sincerely thank them for everything they did for “Szkła”. We will try to continue this program for the state – said Tomasz Sianecki.
Artur Andrus was the host of the program from the beginning of its existence. In 2017, the journalist devoted his career to Radio Three, where he had worked since 1994, to be able to continue running “Szkło Kontakt”. Let us remind you that the board of the Polish Radio did not consent to the journalist’s cooperation with TVN24, which was widely heard in the media. Andrus himself commented on it this way: “For me, it’s a choice between whether I can decide something about myself or not.”
Robert Górski also leaves the popular program
Robert Górski, who had appeared in the program since 2022, also said goodbye to “Glass”. His departure was announced by Krzysztof Daukszewicz, who published a message on Facebook that he had received from the satirist. It was a screenshot of an e-mail that Robert Górski had sent to his colleagues from “Contact Glass”.
This way, in solidarity with Krzysztof and in disagreement with TVN24’s similarity to TVP Info, as a guest of ‘Szkła…’, thank you very much for your hospitality. The station is destroying an innocent man and that’s why I don’t want to support it with my presence. Thank you Tom and Wojtek. I will remember you fondly, as well as the others I met thanks to ‘Glass…’ – wrote Robert Górski in an e-mail.
The former host thanked his colleagues from the program for a gesture of solidarity, which few would choose nowadays. Daukszewicz stopped appearing in “Contact Glass” in mid-May, when at the end of the program a compilation of harmful statements by right-wing politicians was shown who mock transgender people and say that they “feel women”. Daukszewicz decided to refer to it when the host of the next program, Piotr Jacon, who has a transgender daughter, was connected and asked “what gender is it today”.
Daukszewicz immediately reflected and said the words on the air: “I think I fucked up stupidity”, and Tomasz Sianecki apologized for his words. Despite everything, a huge wave of criticism fell on Daukszewicz and after this episode he no longer appeared in “Contact Glass”. Soon after, he announced that he was leaving the group of hosts of the program.
