Discounts for seniors over 60. What is a senior citizen ID card?
Seniors who have reached the required retirement age, i.e. 60 for women and 65 for men, receive a pensioner’s card. From January 2023, it is issued ex officio only in online form and should be added to the mObywatel application. If you want to get a plastic card, it is necessary to submit an application. Of course, existing blank forms do not expire. What does the ID card authorize? After showing it, seniors can count on, among others: on:
- discounts on public transportdifferent depending on the commune (e.g. in Krakow, seniors can ride on discounted tickets, which gives a 50% discount)
- 37 percent discounts on two trips a year by PKP train in the second grade,
- 50 percent discounts on issuing a passport (from the age of 70 it is free),
- discounts for going to the theatre, cinema or museumas well as an additional discount to cover rehabilitation fees.
Nationwide Senior Card. Big discounts in over 3,000 points in Poland
In addition to the ID card, you can also get the National Senior Card, which is the proprietary program of the MANKO Association. After showing it, you will take advantage of many discounts and allowances in over 3,000 points throughout Poland, among others in health centers, shops, cultural institutions and many, many others. Some of them are as high as 30%. To obtain a card, you need to go to the program, complete the application and pay the fee (PLN 35 for a year, PLN 50 for two years), and then send them all by post.
Exemption from the RTV subscription fee. For whom?
