A similar provision regarding account sharing can be found in the HBO Max regulations. Subscribers began to wonder if another platform would prevent them from using the service with friends they do not live with. Representatives decided to dispel any doubts and issued a statement.
Each user of the platform received a message in which the service refers subscribers to the rules of using the platform. It reads, inter alia, that “After creating an HBO Max Account, the user will be able to add up to 5 (five) profiles of Authorized Users to his HBO Max Account. The User’s HBO Max Account will be the ‘main account’ for all Authorized Users. The User as the owner of the Account HBO Max will have access to the history of content watched by each Authorized User, including information about titles, parental controls and will be able to change the settings of the Authorized User.

Although the new provision of the terms of use of the platform still reads that “Only members of the immediate family or household may be Authorized Users”, the service declares that this part of the regulations will still not be enforced here. However, it is worth remembering that HBO Max allows you to add only five users to one account, and the number of devices that can watch the platform’s content at the same time is three screens.

This is good news for everyone who enjoys using multiple streaming platforms and wants to save money by splitting expenses between friends. Currently, buying an HBO Max subscription costs PLN 29.99 per month. Users who decide to buy access to the production of the platform for the whole year will pay only PLN 234.99. In this way, they will be able to use HBO Max resources free of charge for four months a year.
