The apartment of a popular DJ burned down in a fire. The artist’s mother did not survive this

The fire broke out on June 11 on the seventh floor of a block of flats in Tychy. As Aspirant Piotr Myrda, press officer of the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Tychy, reported: “There were two people in the apartment, one of them jumped out of the apartment through the balcony, did not survive the fall, the other was transported to the hospital. what is the condition.”

The apartment where the fire occurred was inhabited by the well-known producer Marcin Chumowicz and his family. The musician is the founder of such projects as Cocolino, Foxall, Foresco and is a resident at the Tokarnia club in Tychy and Base in Krakow. His brother, Tomasz, organized a collection to rebuild the family apartment.

“On June 11, 2023, we were hit by a tragedy that we cannot yet put into words. In unexplained, tragic circumstances, a flat in Tychy burned down, from which two people tried to save themselves,” wrote Marcin Chumowicz’s brother. He further described his brother’s health and reported the death of their mother as a result of this tragedy:

Marcin, my special brother, barely made it. He is badly burned and is in the hospital, but alive. Our beloved mother, unfortunately, did not manage to save herself from the flames on the seventh floor. She left behind a nightmare gap that we will try to deal with forever – we read.

“The fire took all their possessions. We ask all people of good will for support to help the victims get back on their feet and rebuild their lost home” – said Tomasz Chumowicz. The fundraiser was decided to publish the fanpage of the Audioriver music festival, where the artist had the opportunity to perform many times.
