Leszek Lichota risked his career for love, but he was very lucky. He gained popularity thanks to Polish series, and today we know that he will soon play the iconic Quack in the new version of the film prepared by Netflix.

debuted in 2002 on the stage of the Polish Theater in Poznań as Nana Sirbangha in “The Second Hamlet” by Roman Jaworski, dir. Maciej Prus. In the same year, he also joined the cast of the series “Samo Życie”, he did not know then that his fate would be completely changed by accepting a role in another Polish series.

In 2003, Lichota appeared in “”. In the popular series, he played the son of Maria and Włodek and Żaneta’s husband, Grzegorz Zięba. The role brought the actor immense popularity. The artist began to appear in subsequent series – “Camera Cafe”, the Polish version of “Nanny” or “Egzaminie z Życie”. However, visits to the set of “Na Wspólnej” resulted not only in fame.

During the filming of the Lichota series, he met Ilona Wrońska, the TV series Kinga Brzozowska. The couple fell in love and started planning a future together. However, the actors came to the conclusion that working together could ruin their relationship and decided that one of them would resign from his role in the series.

In an interview with the “Party” magazine, Lichota confessed that the decision was not easy. The actor admitted that he was prepared for the worst-case scenario. “I’m very lucky. My departure from “Na Wspólnej” years ago was a va banque. I admit that I did not feel comfortable when making this decision. I will be out of work for years. Fortunately, after a year the phone rang “- says the actor.

Lichota disappeared from “Na Wspólnej” in 2009 and does not regret that decision. His relationship with Ilona Wrońska continues and the actor cannot complain about the lack of work. For years, he played Marek Dębski in the TV series “Agata’s Law”, played Wiktor Rebrow in the production of “Wataha”, and also appeared in the movie “Corpus Christi” as a commune head. Soon the actor will face another professional challenge. Lichota will play the title character of the Quack in the new version of the cult production, which he will realize soon.
