Krzysztof Kęczkowski died on June 8 as a result of heart failure. Jerzy Kaczmarek, a Warsaw musician and friend of the artist, informed about the death of the artist. “I got a message that I had to stop (I was driving a car) and I couldn’t cool down for a long time,” writes the bereaved owner of the rehearsal room, Śmiema in Warsaw, on Facebook.

“Yesterday, our friend, an excellent pianist and a longtime participant of our meetings – Krzysiu Kęczkowski, died suddenly of a heart attack. We had a special relationship with Krzyś, he was my club son and I was his father. During the five years he was at the club, we often wrote to each other and we talked about many things. He was a great musician, friendly to everyone, modest, with great potential. The last time he was in the club was at the end of May and it didn’t cross my mind then that it would be the last time. Krzysiu, rest in peace, play for us beautiful notes in this heavenly orchestra and see you – adds Kaczmarek and publishes recordings with the deceased musician.
Krzysztof Kęczkowski came from a musical family. As we read on the website proskarzysko.pl, his uncle was a well-known local drummer. The late artist, however, chose keyboards. He played, composed and performed live with a number of bands such as Vivid, Głos America, Go On, QQ Flower, Koke, Love and even collaborated with Andrzej Piaseczny.

The funeral of Krzysztof Kęczkowski will take place on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 12.00 at the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Skarżysko-Kamienna. The ashes of the deceased will rest in the cemetery in the Zachodnie estate in Skarżysko.
