American actor Treat Williamsbest known for his role as Dr. Andy Brown Everwood, died this Monday in a motorcycle accident in Dorset, Vermont (USA). He was 71 years old.

“Yourreat was full of love for his family, his life and his craft, and in all of this he was truly at the top of his game.. … To all his fans, know that Treat appreciated you all and continue to keep him in your hearts and prayers,” the actor’s family told the portal. Deadline.

Dorset Fire Chief Jacob Gribble said people that The accident happened around 5 p.m and included Williams’ motorcycle and one car, the driver of which apparently did not see Williams.

The actor is the only person injured in the accident. A helicopter was called to take him to the hospital.

Williams played the good-natured lead on The WB’s Everwood for four seasons from 2002 to 2006. He received two SAG Award nominations for his work on the show.

The series was never successful in terms of ratings, but it helped boost his career Chris Pratt, Emily Van Camp and Gregory Smith.

The actor is also remembered for his role as George Berger in the film Hair (1979), a role that earned him a Golden Globe nomination.
