They “killed” a living artist at the festival in Opole. She talks about a big scandal, the director apologizes

Unfortunately, the Festival in Opole did not avoid mishaps this year either. One of the most pleasant ones is certainly the “killing” of one of the living singers during the “Czas lead” concert. Of course, Jolanta Borusiewicz herself reacted, and the director also apologizes.

“Lead Time” was a concert dedicated to artists who have already passed away. “Czesław Niemen, Zbigniew Wodecki, Andrzej Zaucha, Anna Jantar, Marek Grechuta, Irena Jarocka, Violetta Villas or Kora and Marek Jackowski – these are just some of the greats whose songs resembled contemporary stars. Piotr Kupicha, among others, performed in the Amphitheater in Opole , Justyna Steczkowska, Alicja Majewska and Włodzimierz Korcz, Piotr Cugowski, Kamil Bednarek, S³awomir Uniatowski, Halina Mlynkova, Tulia, Andrzej Lampert “- you can read on the TVP VOD website. There was an unpleasant mishap during the concert.

“Killed” singer: I have no words

During the performances reminiscent of well-known works by deceased artists, archival materials with their participation were also shown on large screens. As a result of an error, the living Jolanta Borusiewicz also appeared among the singers and singers. When Plejada asked the singer how she would comment on this situation, she did not hide her indignation about the “big scandal” she learned about from the fans:

I have no words for this incident. I am surprised that the organizers and TVP did not even bother to check whose photos they post among those who have passed away.

She emphasized that TVP never contacted her and concluded: Summarizing everything, I perceive it as a great scandal. Recall that Borusiewicz sang for the first time in Opole in 1968, then returned twice more. He has won two festival awards. Today she lives in Sweden and is still professionally active.

The director explains. This is not the first time during this year’s festival in Opole

And how does the director of the play “Lead Time” explain it? “Such a mistake shouldn’t have happened and I’m terribly sorry about that.” As a director, I would like to apologize to Mrs. Jolanta Borusiewicz and bow low to her, Michał Bandurski said in an interview with Plejada, justifying the error with the words: “I would not like to go into details as to why this happened, because it is a prosaic thing.”

Unfortunately, another unfortunate event took place during this festival – which was to remind the Opole and TV audience. People sitting in the audience had to help him sing “Procession”. And just before the start of the festival in Opole, there was a lot of talk about the way Doda was treated by one of the directors of the event.

The singer announced on social media a few days before the recital that he had challenged her while working on the concert. – At rehearsals, various things happen and sometimes different emotions torment artists and directors – TVP presenter and event spokeswoman. Mikołaj Dobrowolski himself then publicly apologized to Doda.
