Despite the fact that last year Robert Makłowicz talked about the dubious quality of fish in Poland and pointed out that “if we go to the fish fry in swimming trunks and want to eat something from a plastic plate, don’t expect miracles”, tourists are still ready to pay a fortune. Recently, one Twitter user shared a horror receipt from Frombork on his profile.
The season for horror receipts has begun
On the receipt we can see that the man decided on a zander fillet, which cost as much as PLN 200 per kilogram. He also took sauerkraut salad and beer. Although it might not seem like much, the final bill was PLN 75. “I got a horror receipt,” he said.
In the comments under his entry, Internet users lamented that similar prices are also in other places in Poland. Someone added that he paid PLN 200 for three people in Rewa. The bill included 3 pieces of fish, beer and soup.
What are the prices of fish by the sea?
The portal has published prices for sample dishes in seaside restaurants. The list shows that we will pay about PLN 25 for 100 g of fried shrimps in batter. Baltic flounder costs PLN 11 per 100 g, cod PLN 14.50 per 100 g zander PLN 18 per 100 g. Baked fish prices are similar. We will pay PLN 11 for 100 g for roasted mackerel, PLN 14.50 for 100 g for halibut, and PLN 19 for 100 g of Norwegian salmon fillet.
