The lead singer of the Rammstein band dissociates himself from the allegations, and the first companies break off cooperation with him

In Germany, a stormy discussion is taking place after accusations against the lead singer of the Rammstein band by one of the participants of the group’s concert in Vilnius. On Thursday, June 8, Till Lindemann spoke out and firmly rejected the accusations of women accusing him of i.a. intoxication for sexual activity as “utterly untrue”. According to the “Welt” newspaper, his lawyers plan to take legal action, but the first companies decided to stop working with the musician anyway.

The Berlin law firm Schertz Bergmann Rechtsanwälte, representing Till Lindemann, published a statement on social media on Thursday that “serious allegations have been made against their client by several women on social networks, especially on Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.”

On Instagram you can also find a message translated into English. “It has been repeatedly claimed that women at Rammstein concerts were drugged with rape pills or alcohol to allow our client to perform sexual acts on them. These allegations are untrue without exception,” the statement said. The musician’s lawyers have also announced that they will take legal action in connection with further allegations of this type.

The newspaper “Welt am Sontag” reported last Saturday that during “afterparties” for which Alena Makeeva recruited young women, illicit substances and drugs were to appear, and some of the participants were to be forced into sexual contact (). Interestingly, the day before the NDR, WDR and “Sueddeutsche Zeitung” portals informed about serious allegations against the team.

The first companies are already withdrawing from cooperation with the German team

Although a few days ago Rammstein issued a statement on Instagram in which they admitted that the allegations hit the group very hard and “have been taken extremely seriously”, and now the artist’s lawyers plan to take the first legal action against the accusers, Till Lindemann may now have serious problems image, which can already be seen the first results.

The Kiepenheuer & Witsch publishing house in Cologne, where Lindemann published his last two volumes of poetry, has just terminated cooperation with him. As we read in a statement signed by publishing director and board member Kerstin Gleba:

We have followed with shock the public allegations made against Till Lindemann over the last few days. We direct our sympathy and respect to women affected by this pathology.

In the further part of the communiqué, Kerestin Gleba informs that the press disclosed i.a. existence of a pornographic film “in which Till Lindemann celebrates sexual violence against women with the use of his book ‘In stillen Nächten’ published in 2013 by Kiepenheuer & Witsch (in Poland published in 2014 by Kagra publishing house under the title ‘Ciche Noce. Wiersze’ – editor’s note)”. The publishing house strongly opposes such behavior of the rockman and finally breaks off cooperation with him:

From our point of view, Till Lindemann pushes the limits when dealing with women. We have decided to terminate our cooperation with Till Lindemann with immediate effect as our trust in the author has been irretrievably damaged.

It turns out that the publishing house is not the only company that wants to distance itself from the controversy surrounding the band. According to “”, in German Rossmann drugstores, perfumes signed by the band’s name, which are known as “Sex”, “Pussy” and “Cocaine”, have disappeared from store shelves. They are also not available for purchase online.
