The record holder Zoey is a Labrador/German Shepherd mix. He is from Metairie, Louisiana, United States. A few days ago she was entered into the , as the owner of the longest tongue among living dogs. It measures as much as 12.7 cm in length. Interestingly, this is more than the size of a standard soda can.

Even when she was a puppy, Zoey’s tongue often stuck out of her mouth. Sadie and Drew Williams, who own her, thought that when she grew up, everything would normalize, but it didn’t. Over time, people also began to notice and comment on the length of her tongue. The couple decided to go to the vet, where they measured the dog’s tongue.

Zoey is also friendly to strangers, but owners be warned

According to the owners, Zoey is a fun-loving creature. The 3-year-old loves being outdoors, fetching balls, chasing squirrels, car rides, and swimming. Occasionally, when the owners take her for a walk, people come up to Zoey to pet her. Then Sadie and Drew warn that despite her friendly attitude, she can leave an unusual amount of drool on clothes.
