For Transformers: Rise of the BeastThe Autobots and Maximals (ancestors of the Autobots) have a new ally: Noah Díaz, whose role went to 31-year-old Puerto Rican actor Anthony Ramos, who continues to break through with film roles after breaking out on Broadway with the acclaimed musical Hamilton.

The story, directed by Steven Caple Jr., which opens in Ecuador this Thursday, June 8, progress in rebooting (relaunching) the franchise transformers on the big screen definitely leaving the Michael Bay tapes then starring Shia LaBeouf as Sam Witwicky.

The audience will see the Maximals on the big screen for the first time.

Ramos thus becomes the main human face of a new film set in the nineties and whose plot introduces a different faction of interplanetary visitors, the Maximals, and this marks the leader in his first advances Optimus Primal (predecessor of the well-known Optimus Prime). The film also stars Dominique Fishback as Elena.

“I am happy to have the opportunity to make this film together with Dom. We’ve known each other forever because we grew up in similar neighborhoods in Brooklyn. and to combine that spice in this movie, it’s great, plus all the new characters we’re going to have“, commented the actor in heights (2021).

In preparation for his role, in addition to watching all of Bay’s films, Ramos delved into animated series. Beast Wars: Transformers (1996), in which Maximals prevail. “When I read the script and saw that Primal and Cheetah and all of them were going to be in the movie, I was so excited.”

“Noah is a former soldier who now lives with his mother and brother who is ill, so he’s just looking for a way to support his family. He always wants to do the right thing, although sometimes you don’t know exactly what the best decision is to continue caring for the ones you love“, he added.

The film has Peru as one of its main plots, specifically Machu Picchu and Cusco, where the camera crew was mobilized. They even invited a shaman to bless the production.

“When introducing the Maximals in this film, we thought the amazingness and wonders of Peru would really capture who the characters are. We filmed at the top of Machu Picchu, where filming had never been done before,” commented the director of the film.

To add depth and intrigue to the story, Writer Joby Harold weaves a captivating narrative based on Hasbro’s beloved Transformers action figuresmaking the film another chance for fans to see their favorite childhood toys come to life.
