What exists a perennial space where women can be made visible in art, and in entrepreneurship, it is the macro objective of the first Encounter of women for the arts that will be developed this Saturday, November 27, at the facilities of the Anthropological Museum of Contemporary Art. The cultural event is organized, precisely, by three women, actresses, playwrights and colleagues: Alicia ‘Tite’ Macias, Elizabeth zambrano and Luisa Cuesta.
Highlight the artistic work of women it continues to be a challenge in our environment, consider the managers. Being a woman, being an artist and being young it can slow down many of the cultural projects, as well as their profitability.
“On Guayaquil there are important art proposals, but we feel that there are no policies that maintain them over time; in itself as an artist, in general, it is very difficult, as a woman it is doubly complicated even financially support them, because women carry other obligations due to their condition, ”illustrates Zambrano.
That is why the meeting has brought together performing arts, a fair for artisans and small businesswomen; as well as a series of conferences and women’s films. Everything in one place, from 10:00 to 19:30.
The event, open to the public and with free admission, begins with the presentation of the monologue Pray for us, that Elizabeth staged in 2019 to reflect on violence against women. The piece returns to the billboard, in this single function, within the framework of the international day for the elimination of violence against women, which commemorates all November 25, and thanks to the support of the foundations Cepam and Hand joints.

Although the work will not be open to the public (it is only entered by invitation), at night those interested will be able to appreciate it in the Paulsen Study (only presentation).

The film cycle will be fulfilled at 3:00 p.m., in charge of Armchair Paradise, with the theme Maya Deren and her feminist cinema, which includes the screening of At Land (1944) and Meshes of the Afternoon (1943).
The scenic component also highlights the university interventions (Casa Grande University, Autonomous University of Barcelona), with the proposal Re-existing fragments, from 16:30. It’s about three short one-man works, 10 minutes each. “We believe that it is important to give a platform to boys and girls who are starting in the arts, because we know how difficult it is to find spaces when one begins in art,” explains Zambrano.
Alicia He will also take up one of his interpretations. Is about Good vibes, a short-format work by Bárbara Fernándes and Sebastián Mosquera in which the protagonist decides to have a kind of honeymoon with her vibrator, thus questioning the issue of self-love. The show is at 7:00 p.m.
Luisa The event’s programming will close, with the premiere at 7:30 p.m. Nostalgia Kitchen, where he evokes a television program of recipes, with a lot of mischief and charisma to entertain his audience even with a dance show.
