Theater: ‘Papakuna’

Theatre: ‘The Island’

Users of the UCA (Unit for Addictive Behaviors) of the Institute of Neurosciences Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil will premiere the work Island, Directed by Víctor Acebedo and Jean Carlos Añazco Villacís. This piece features Sandro telling his story of survival as he was trapped on an island in the past after an accident. In this place, he faces situations of scarcity.

“The island is about the illusion of a man who wants to be reunited with his family, and when he returns, he finds that his wife has already passed away, and his son does not believe the story about his absence,” reads the synopsis. “In this work, we reflect on the ability to reboot our relationships, increase magical meaning in our lives, and use examples to create new affective systems and networks,” the production reads.

Concert: José Luis Freire
