The festival in Mrągowo on the occasion of Children’s Day was widely known even before it took place. When it was noticed on the posters that the city was to be visited by Popek, the network was in an uproar. The rapper has in his discography songs such as “Ch** raperzy”, “Junks”, “Ballad about models of shit eaters”, “I don’t want to be pissed off anymore”, and his biggest nargana hit with Gang Albania has a falling in the ear the chorus about “p*** over the head”.

No wonder that there were discussions under the poster promoting the event whether Popek’s message was suitable for children. Especially since the event is not ticketed, which makes it difficult to control who will attend (for club concerts, minors are required to show consent to participate in the event signed by their guardians). The organizers of the Power Gym event, headed by Daniel Lewakowski, argued that the choice was well thought out.
Lewakowski declared: “Controversial people can also do cool things. The event is on the occasion of Children’s Day, but children are not only 5-year-olds. Each of us is a child. For the youngest we have plenty of attractions in the earlier hours, and for teenagers and older around 21 Popek will perform. I also reassure everyone at once, we will not hear profanity from the stage. The organizer assured that in the contract concluded with Popek there is a provision that the most controversial songs cannot be played in Mrągowo.
In addition, the poster clearly shows that Popka’s performance is dedicated to “older children”. In practice, however, during the rapper’s performance, the youngest predominated among the audience. In the first rows there were children of early school age, and even younger, watching the performance on the hands of their guardians.

The artist began the performance with a greeting and a capella performance of the chorus of the song “For real ladies” with a dedication to all mothers. The audience seemed happy to meet the rapper. When Popek left the stage, he gave short interviews to the local media. Among them, “Twój Kurier Olsztyński”, which reported the event in the form of a video. On the recording, we hear Popek declare that he expected his concert to be attended mainly by young people.
However, the rapper sees nothing wrong with it. What’s more, he confidently declares to the camera that his repertoire is so universal that he could even perform in a church. “Everyone thinks I’m an idiot, but I have a lot of songs with Red Guitars from Lady Pank without cursing,” the artist concluded.
