Bilboko Kalealdia will fill the city with theater and street arts, from June 19 to 24

He Theater and Street Arts Festival – Bilboko Kalealdiaorganized annually by the Bilbao City Council, will launch its 24th edition next 19th of JuneMonday.
This new installment of the festival will last until Saturday 24, and will bring to the town 34 shows that can be enjoyed throughout six days full of programming with 69 quotes.
The program was presented this Thursday at the Doña Casilda Park, one of the festival’s main venues, at a press conference in which they participated Itziar Urtasún, Councilor for Cooperation, Coexistence and Festivities; and Pedro Ormazabalevent manager.
In this 2023, Bilboko Kalealdia offers 16 international premieres and showsall of them free, but at the same time, it claims, one more edition, its commitment to the talent of the local companies.
The festival can be enjoyed in eleven spaces: one of the main ones will once again be the Doña Casilda Park, which in turn will have different stages located around the park, near the pond (where there will be four zones) and a stage in the Pergola.
Bilboko Kalealdia will also be in the Plaza del Arriaga, on the side of the Arriaga Theater, in the Old Town with stages in the Plaza Nueva, on Sombrerería street and on Correo street, in the Arenal Sheds, in the Plaza de la Convivencia (between the Isozaki Towers), and in Plaza del Gas.
This year’s edition will also offer Food Trucksand gargantua will visit the festival to wait for the little ones who want to enjoy this traditional attraction.
