– Children have had our surname syndrome since they were little, so it’s kind of like a good morning, sometimes it’s also difficult, but they are skilled at it. We also have a positive attitude towards them, which means: listen, the fact that your name is Golec will open doors in some environments, and you will have a hard time in others. But you have to show with your talent, with your desperation, that you are a dickhead. That when you go to the ring, i.e. to the stage, there is no pain, you have to take and give your best, and in this way also reach this viewer – says Łukasz Golec, who spoke during the recent Sopot Hit Festival. Łukasz Golec: For now, education, school, studies
Although both brothers previously admitted that their children are interested in music (especially entertainment and jazz) and are also gifted in this direction, they are unlikely to insist that the stage is the only career path. – I see that they have potential, they have talent, and we really support them in this, but life will write the script for them. We can plan, but for now there is education, school, studies – adds Łukasz Golec, who has been singing in the band GolecUOrkiestra together with his brother for 25 years.
Paweł Golec’s twin brother has been married to Edyta Mędrzak since 2000. The couple has three children: Bartłomiej, born in 2004, Antonina, two years younger, and the youngest, Piotr (born in 2008). Edyta also plays in the band Golec uOrkiestra (viola), sings and composes. In 2001, Paweł married Katarzyna Kułaczewska, with whom he has two daughters: Maja (born in 2003) and Anna (born in 2013).
