New dates 500 plus. You will not receive a benefit if you make one mistake
From June 1, 2023, another period begins in which 500 plus benefits will be granted. It will be in force until May 31, 2024, so it is worth knowing some of the most popular mistakes that cause the payment of the benefit to be significantly delayed. Iwona Kowalska-Matis points out a few of them. – Typos, entering your own PESEL number instead of the child’s PESEL number are the most common mistakes, but there are much fewer of them than last year. There are still situations when two parents apply for the same child – said the regional spokesperson of the Social Insurance Institution in Lower Silesia, quoted by the portal.
ZUS officials urge you to carefully check the completed documents before sending the application. Particular attention should be paid to the correctness of the bank account number or the child’s PESEL number, because this is where irregularities most often appear. In addition, it should be remembered that when parents live together and raise a child together, and they want to submit an application, it is enough for one of them to do it. In the case of alternate custody, both parents may submit documents, and the benefit will be paid PLN 250 to each parent’s account.

It is worth remembering that the date of payment of the benefit depends on the date of submitting a properly completed application. So if corrections are required, the case may drag on for a long time. A detailed schedule of 500 plus 2023 payments has been published on the website. The benefit will be granted to persons who submit an application:
- by April 30, 2023 to receive by June 30, 2023;
- in May 2023 to receive the money by July 31, 2023, together with the compensation of the benefit amount from June;
- in June 2023 to receive the money by August 31, 2023, together with the compensation of the benefit amount from June;
- in July 2023 to receive the money by September 30, 2023, together with the compensation of the benefit amount from July;
- in August 2023 to receive the money by October 31, 2023, along with the compensation of the benefit amount from August.
