From the casino, she went to the final of “Mam Talent”: I just wanted to raise money for the rent

Among the people who took part in the last edition of Canada’s Got Talent was 26-year-old Samantha Meave Pearson from Ontario. The story of the singer’s appearance at the casting is really unique.

26-year-old Samantha Meave Pearson did not come to the “Got Talent” auditions like thousands of other people who wanted to show off their skills. The artist played in front of the Niagara Fallsview casino in Ontario in the fall. She hoped a few people would stop on the street, listen to her songs, and maybe even make a donation. The artist did not expect how soon her fate would turn out.

From under the casino to “Got Talent”. The singer sang on the street to collect rent

One of the listeners of Meave’s street concert turned out to be Howie Mandel, who invited her to the casting for “Got Talent”. In an interview with CBC Hamilton, the 26-year-old singer, said that she did not expect such a turn of events even in her wildest dreams. Meave went straight from the street to the program’s studio, where she performed “House of the Rising Sun” by Animals in front of the jury. Due to the haste and lack of preparation, the singer had to deal with a capella. In this amazing way, she became a finalist of the program.

Meave grew up in Hamilton and was passionate about music since she was a child. She put aside her hobbies to be able to develop in areas where it was supposed to be easier for her to succeed. However, she quickly burned out and returned to acting. She made plans to move to Ontario and began performing on the street. One day, after a morning shift at a local restaurant, she noticed that the place where she was playing was already taken. That’s why she ended up at the casino building. She had no idea that auditions for “Got Talent” were taking place in the area.

“It wasn’t my goal, I didn’t know there was an audition in the building. I just wanted to earn my rent,” the cbc.ca portal quotes the singer. Mandel heard the artist’s voice and invited her to audition. Although the artist did not win the competition, she emphasized during the program that the show changed her life. Appreciation of talent made her gain a lot of self-confidence and developed a lot. She wants to continue creating, singing and today she is sure that she wants to connect her future with music.
