Edyta Górniak spoke as an expert about Tina Turner

Tributes to the iconic singer come from all over the world. Many artists cannot believe that such a talented singer has passed away. In Poland, one of the biggest fans of Tina Turner is Edyta Górniak. This was noticed by the Polsat News station, which decided to invite the singer as an expert in a conversation about the deceased singer.

– At the age of 83, one of the greatest artists in the world passed away after a serious illness. Many people say about her that she was the queen of rock. What impressed you most about her? Was it her amazing timbre of voice, the charisma that emanated from the stage or maybe the grace with which she moved around the stage? – the journalist of the station, Bogdan Rymanowski, started the conversation.

It was a mix of everything. Femininity, charisma, courage, sensuality on stage. But without a doubt, and which is very rare, women often cross this line of taste on stage, which I have noticed since the 80s. Tina has remained very feminine and sensual. Mysterious and very kind – replied Edyta Górniak

Then the singer began to talk about Turner’s charisma. She admitted that, in her opinion, the late artist was completely different on stage than off it. – It seems that the music triggered such a fierceness in her. On a daily basis, however, she was a very gentle person, they said. She also referred to her private life, saying that she admired her for her extraordinary strength. She also mentioned a biographical film she had the opportunity to watch:

This is the story of a monstrous drama. A very toxic relationship, I’m talking about the beginning of her career, i.e. the relationship with her ex-husband, which almost drove her insane (…) From the moment I saw this film, she is an example for me, of all show business women who could forge drama, monstrous traumas into beautiful musical works. While maintaining class, humility and extraordinary sensitivity, she admitted.

The Polish artist had the honor of meeting the legendary artist and her relatives

– When I had difficult struggles myself, somewhere in this public life, let’s say, I remember taking her as an example and thinking: “If she managed it, you can do it too!” Górniak added after a moment. At the end of the conversation, Bogdan Rymanowski quoted Turner’s words from years ago: “It’s not hard to remember what happened, the trick is to live normally after what happened.” Edyta Górniak then confessed that she had the opportunity to meet the family of the late artist, and the meeting was “semi-professional and semi-social”:

Tina was about to join us and her husband was jokingly saying “She’s probably picking out wigs” and that she’s probably going to be late. I sat next to him the whole evening and on the one hand I was very happy, because it was the closest I could be to being such a great star, because I spent the whole evening with her closest person (…) We talked about various things, I was very timidly asking about Tina, about her creativity, sensitivity, about her life – she said at the end.
