A Jazzaldia and many scenarios

In addition to the great stages of the Plaza de la Trinidad, the Kursaal and the Plaza de la Zurriola, the Jazzaldia of San Sebastián will take its program to the stages of Frigo Gunea, Fnac Gunea, Nauticool, Garbera, Sala Club del Teatro Victoria Eugenia, San Martin Merkatua, Hotel María Cristina, Irún and Fnac Foruma.
The organization of the musical event has added 49 concerts, 46 of them free, to the program already presented for the 58th edition of the San Sebastian Jazz Festival. Among them there are concerts by local groups (Isla Trio, Xahu, Motelas, Les Cuisinieres, Lutfi Jakfar Sitxh Trio, Arnaud Labastie Trio, Amaika Rude, Mikel Legasa, Quintet, Xavi Maldonado and David Cid Quartet and Kinkfolk), the performance of Elena Setién in Nauticool and the participation of four groups of the Katapulta project: Bamms, Nakar, Olana Liss and Ramada Inn.
Also performing will be the Jerry Bergonzi Quartet, Damir Imamovi, Ill Considered, The Side Effects, Sara Dowling, Bengue, Conversions, Eri Yamamoto Trio, Michele Hendricks & Ronald Baker Project, Five Stars, The Mississippians and Pacific Jazz Ambassadors, as well as Bengue, Conversions and Pere Bujosa.
For his part, under the title Freedom First, the Catalan jazz pianist Albert Marquès presents live the album recorded with Keith LaMar, a prisoner sentenced to death in 1993 in the United States. The 4 musicians who will be on stage will be joined, from a distance, by the voice of LaMar himself, who will be present through recordings of his voice and who will also perform live from prison, via telephone. It will be on July 24 and 25 in the Sala Club of the Vitoria Eugenia theater at 8:00 p.m.
In addition, there will also be concerts at the María Cristina hotel (with dinner), the San Martín market, the Fnac forum and the Garbera shopping center.
