Julen Apella publishes the collection of poems “Postal bat desertuan”
Euskaraz irakurri: Julen Apellak “Postal bat desertuan” liburua aurkeztu du
Julen Apella Santamaria (Berriz, 1998), winner of the VI Donostia Kultura Poetry Prize, has today published his first book, “Postal bat desertuan”, edited by Balea Zuria.
At the award ceremony, the jury highlighted that “behind the book there is a young and robust voice that shows multiple references and influences. It skilfully combines metaliterature and social criticism, working on language and using suggestive images, opening paths to reflection. In many poems the everyday and the landscape come together, and take advantage of some elements that give fullness to the book: shoes, feet, path, wings, movement, time, clocks”.
In previous editions, Maialen Berastegi, Lizar Begoña, Gorka Salces and Estibaliz Martinez have won the poetry prize.
