Bronisław Surmiak was born on August 16, 1933 in Dębianka near Lviv, but spent his adult life in Warsaw. In 1958, he graduated from the acting department of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theater Academy, and during his career he played about 90 theatrical roles.
