5 mistakes made while grooming. They are the ones that ruin the condition of the hair

Doctor Aamna Adel, who comes from London, highlighted 5 things in her video that she “would like to know in her 20s”. It’s about hair care, and more specifically mistakes that are better to avoid, because they affect the condition of our strands. It is about:

  • the use of tight hairstyles. “Tightening and pulling on the hair follicles can lead to hair loss, also known as traction alopecia, which may be irreversible.”
  • incorrect application of dry shampoo. “If you’re trying to refresh your hair between washes with a dry shampoo, the key is to leave it in there for a few seconds. It gives the dry shampoo time to absorb all the excess oil.”
  • no SPF on the scalp. “You wouldn’t believe how many skin cancers I’ve seen along the parting of my hair. Make sure you protect it and apply some SPF.”
  • rubbing wet hair with a towel. “Hair is at its most brittle when wet. Rubbing it with a towel can cause more damage. Use a microfiber towel instead, which will help absorb excess moisture without damaging your hair.”
  • using shampoo only for the scalp. “Rinse the shampoo off your scalp and that’s enough to clean the rest of your hair.”

How to take care of your hair in the summer so as not to damage it? Keep a few things in mind

In the summer, we often focus only on protecting our skin from harmful UV radiation, which often makes us forget about our hair. This is a mistake, because during this period our strands require special attention. Changeable weather conditions, wind, sea water, high temperature and sun not only dry out hair, but also make it difficult to comb. Take care during the holidays the use of delicate cosmetics, natural oils, as well as sun protection. Remember to wear a hat, use products with UV filters, and give up the dryer. What’s more, take care of a well-balanced diet, which also affects not only the health, but also the appearance of our hair.
