When to fertilize raspberries? Note the three terms

raspberries should be carried out in three dates. It should be noted not to do it too early, as the bushes will accelerate vegetation and the shoots will freeze. It should also not be done very late, because the raspberries will not have time to prepare for the arrival of winter.

  1. Early spring — The beginning of vegetation is a good time to apply fertilizer, which will encourage the development of new shoots.
  2. Turn of May and June — The right time to fertilize will come when the raspberries will put out new flowers.
  3. End of August — Fertilization should be carried out after the end of fruiting, which will help the bushes prepare for winter.

Sprinkle under raspberries and you won’t keep up with picking fruit. One product is enough

The time for the second fertilization is approaching, which should take place after the release of new flowers – at the turn of May and June. At this time, it is worth betting on a fertilizer containing large amounts of phosphorus, which will support the ripening of raspberries. A good idea is to use organic banana peels, which contain the already mentioned phosphorus and potassium. The elements affect the long flowering, health and taste of crops. What should I do?

  1. Cut the skins into pieces and dry them. You can do it in the oven or in the mushroom dryer, being careful not to burn them.
  2. The dried product (you can grind it into a powder beforehand) mix it gently with the top layer of soil near the raspberries, thanks to which the bushes will be nourished.
