Colombian singer Juanes today released his new album ‘Daily Life’, now available in digital format, CD and vinyl, marking the release of the singer-songwriter’s first all-original studio album since ‘Más Futuro Que Pasado’ in 2019.

During this new creative cycle, Juanes combines his return to his electric guitar rock roots (which he stepped down with his recent tribute album ‘Origin’, Grammy and Latin Grammy winner), with his great skill as a composer, which he used during the pandemic to take a more mature and introspective look at life, love, family, social concerns and more. The high praise he has received for his artistic vision of the singles he anticipated suggests that the album becomes one of the standout Latin records of the year and a new creative pinnacle in Juanes’ impressive career.

I think this is my best album as a musician, songwriter and artist. All my previous experiments are certainly true – but getting out of your comfort zone and feeling uncomfortable can be a transformative experience. “I wrote Cecilia in response to another track on the album titled Gray and that reflects the dark side of a situation between my wife and me as Cecilia deals with reconciliation. It’s a song about looking into each other’s eyes and still recognizing each other as a couple, overcoming differences and continuing to dance our lives together. It’s a great honor for me to have Juan Luis Guerra in the song, and I’m proud of this incredible musical moment. This is a celebration of my love for Cecilia, of my family, of being able to work with Juan Luis, and of my love of Caribbean music.”
