This is the General Military Academy

The General Military Academy is a higher training center for the Spanish Army. It was founded 141 years ago, in 1882. In that long period and three periods of operation, it has trained more than 29,000 officers of the Army, the Civil Guard and the Joint Corps of the Armed Forces, according to its website.

It was in 1927 when it was founded in Zaragoza, where it is located in a group of buildings located at the exit of the city on the Huesca highway. Its goal is “to obtain officers with excellent technical training, careful physical training and a solid moral foundation.”

These are the main characteristics of the teaching center, according to El Mundo:

Changing Princess Leonor’s appearance

The entry of the eldest daughter of King Felipe VI. and Queen Letizia to the military academy will mean significant changes in her appearance, an educational center where she will not have any privileges.

Military regulations include conditions related to the luggage or clothing of new arrivals, as well as the type of hairstyle allowed for women with long hair, reports El Nacional.

Catalan media said the code states that women with long hair must “wear their hair in a bun, if it is long, in formations of special importance, and in a tail or braid for training and campaigns or sports activities.”

This is the case of Princess Leonor, who, since she has long hair, will no longer be able to wear it loose or gathered with some loose strands, as she usually wears.
