Actress Jennifer Lawrence has confessed that she shot a scene in her new Netflix movie under the influence of drugs.
The actress has made this confession during the press conference of ‘Do not look up’, also starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep, and in which the director of the film, Adam McKay, was also present.
It was the filmmaker himself who explained that Lawrence asked permission to smoke a marijuana joint in a scene with Streep, since the character also appeared under the influence of this substance. “I answered: sure, you can get high,” McKay explained.
“My character was getting into the movie. Everybody was picking on me. Everybody was picking on me. I guess because she was high. Someone easy to annoy“, Lawrence explained with a laugh, who wanted to clarify that during that filming she was not yet pregnant.
The actress also complained in an interview on Vanity Fair that he charged almost five million less for the film than his partner Leonardo DiCaprio even though they are co-stars. Lawrence would have pocketed 25 million dollars while his partner would have collected 30 million, despite the fact that she appears before in the credit titles.
“Leo draws more box office than me. I’m very lucky and happy with my agreement. But what I’ve seen, and I’m sure other women in your workplace have seen it too, is that it is extremely uncomfortable to ask about equal pay. And if you question something that seems unequal, they tell you that it is not gender disparity, but they cannot tell you what it is exactly, “he said.
