During an interview with Telemundo’s ‘La Mesa Caliente’, the Venezuelan revealed her experience as a contestant in her country’s top pageant and the opportunities she received afterwards.
“This week we happen to be celebrating 37 years of competition,” said Maite, who also noted that this was a very competitive year because she had strong competitors like Catherine Fulop.

“By losing, I gained a lot because I really won what was in my way, which is to make a career in the world of driving,” said Maite Delgado.
