Wincenty Grabarczyk, whom viewers of the TVP series know from the role of Jeremiah, died on the night of May 12 to 13. “Dear viewers, dear friends, it is with great sadness and regret that we would like to inform you that our dear friend and great actor passed away last night: Wincenty Grabarczyk,” the Square Theater in Warsaw announced on social media. The son of the late actor, Andrzej, also plays in this theater. Both men appeared in “Klan”.

Saying goodbye to their colleague, the founders of the Kwadrat Theater wrote: “Thank you, Wincenty, for everything you have given us as an actor and as a human being. Rest in peace.” Wincenty Grabarczyk made his debut in 1952, he was a laureate of, among others, the Medal of Marian Mikuła – Meritorious for Theater Culture, Golden Cross of Merit, Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
The actor was born on August 19, 1931 in Uhryń, which is located in today’s Ukraine. He was an actor of Teatr Śląski in Katowice, Teatr Nowy in Zabrze, Teatr Zagłębia in Sosnowiec, Teatr Wybrzeże in Gdańsk and (since 2001) Teatr Kwadrat in Warsaw. In the years 1993-1996 he was also the artistic director of the Nowy Theater in Zabrze. His film debut was in 1955’s Enchanted Bike, and his serial appearance in the iconic Dom. He played in “Klan” from 2005 to 2018. His son Andrzej Grabarczyk, who plays Jerzy Chojnacki, is also in the cast of the production from the first episode.
