Glories of sport in pictorial exhibition
The Directorate of Culture of the Municipality of Guayaquil, the Olympic Philatelic Association and the Fundación Arte Sin Límites Ecuador have inaugurated a philately exhibition that includes stamps, postcards and envelopes, as well as a numismatic exhibition with coins and medals. The memorabilia includes events on Ecuadorian sports glories, national and international events, and the expression of sport through works of art such as the petropicto, a technique of painting on stones, without altering its original shape. Among the athletes portrayed are Neisi Dajomes, Jefferson Pérez and Richard Carapazas well as the late athlete Alex Quinonez. The exhibition is open at the Multipurpose room of the Municipal Museum, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., until November 30.
Literary Program ‘A Flight of the Page’ presents Writer Nuns of the colonial period
The literary encounter To the flight of the page is led by the journalist Clara Medina, Through the Anthropological and Contemporary Art Museum (MAAC).
