The plans to film the movie fifth and final season of stranger things they stopped because of the writers’ strike.
The co-creators and co-showrunners Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, better known as the Duffer Brotherstweeted a statement to the show’s writers’ room account this weekend. Netflix.

The writing doesn’t stop when the filming beginsthe tweet said. “While we are excited to begin production with our wonderful cast and crew, it is not possible during this strike,” the Duffers wrote. “We hope there will be a fair deal soon so we can all get back to work.. Until then, over and out. #wgastrong”.

One Twitter user even shared a photo of a strike banner supposedly from one of the writers of the sci-fi series. “Pay Up, Or Steve Harrington Dies”said the poster as a kind of blackmail in reference to the beloved character of stranger things, played by Joe Keery. In the previous season, many fans feared for Steve’s life as the Duffers “kill off” a beloved or popular character in each episode.
The writers of the successful dramatized horror and nostalgia resumed their work in August last year, that is, less than a month after the premiere of part 2 of the last season.
