The news of his death shocked the whole of Poland. A well-known and respected actor in the last months of his life struggled with a disease that made it difficult for him to breathe. Despite his health problems, he was still professionally active. Although more than 4 months have passed since these events, he is constantly visited by his relatives and fans.
He has played many roles on the small and big screen. The viewers loved him
he was a graduate of the Warsaw theater school. During a career that lasted over 45 years, he played over a hundred excellent roles both on stage and on the screen, thus gaining sympathy and popularity among viewers. The development of his career took place a decade after his debut, when he played the role of Jerzy in the film adaptation of the novel “The Madness of Panny Ewy” by Kornel Makuszyński. After that, he appeared in front of the camera many times. The most popular productions in his output are “Painted on Glass”, “The Marriage of Figaro”, “God’s Garden” and “God’s Copper”. The actor has also appeared in the role of Wojciech Marszałek in the popular series for over 20 years. Although he performed on the stage of many theaters, incl. National, Ateneum, Rozmaitości or Buffo, he had the greatest passion for the Kamienica Theatre, which he founded in 2009.

Emilian Kamiński died unexpectedly on December 26, 2022. At the time of his death, he was 70 years old. This information was a shock not only to fans, but also to many artists who expressed condolences to his loved ones in the media. The last farewell to the actor was of a state nature and took place in the church of St. Charles Borromeo in Warsaw. During the ceremony, Kamiński was recognized for his contributions to the development of culture, receiving a posthumous award with the Order of Polonia Restituta and the Commander’s Cross with a star of the Order of Polonia Restituta.

The actor was buried in the Avenue of Merit of the Military Cemetery in Warsaw’s Powązki Cemetery. At the moment there is no traditional stone tombstone. They are decorated with a large cross, under which there is a black and white photo of Emilian Kamiński. A little lower, there is a plaque with a touching quote.
